Earth Hour

Check this out...
http://www11.earthhourus.org/
We will be turning our lights out from 8 - 9 p.m. tonight. Lizzy has even decided to not turn on any lights the whole day to show her support.
Liz has helped our family to become more "green." Last year she asked several questions about recycling and then asked why we didn't have a recycling bin at our house. So, 3 phone calls later we had one and we posted a sheet on the fridge that listed what we can recycle. She was our little recycle monitor. She also saves things she can use as crafts at a later time. We planted seeds in an egg carton, used milk jugs to make mini icebergs for the bath and are making bowling pins out of old 2 liter bottles this week. These are just a few examples of ways that we recycle.
We are happy to be in one of the 4 cities in the U.S. participating in Earth Hour.
