Funny Cat

Many of you have met our cat Clyde. It is typical for people to laugh when meeting him for the first time, because of his size. Well our 7 month old must get the joke because every single time Sam looks at Clyde he starts laughing. Here's a video.

photos, photos, photos

After I took the pictures of Lizzy and her baby at our pretend baby spa I left the room to answer the phone when I came back there were about 30 new pictures on the camera.

Here are a few
things Lizzy thinks are photo worthy.

I came in the room to see her taking a photo of her eye!

Makeup and Dressups

Unless we are going to church or somewhere special I usually let Lizzy dress herself. Usually this just means mis-matched clothes, which is never a big deal. Last week we went to the Science center with a friend and she wore a tank top, a long sleeved shirt and a short sleeved shirt, also 2 skirts and 2 headbands
(all as one outfit!)

This first picture is of her being Alice from Alice in Wonderland.

She visited the "baby spa" (at my house) a few days ago, both her and her baby got thier nails painted.

We were about to go some where last week and I asked her to get some clothes and shoes on, she came back wearing this lovely play makeup, we had to explain that she is too young to wear makeup outside of the house. She just knew she looked so pretty, then after I took the picture she wanted to look at it and she turned to me and said, "mom, did that lipstick look good on me?"

She also likes to dress baby brother up!

The girls got skill

Liz is daring in ways I could never be. I could never do a cartwheel, nor did I ever want to. Flipping upside down is not my idea of fun. Liz is different than me. She was doing somersaults by the time she was a year and a half and doing flips in the pool when she was 4 and has learned on her own to do flips on a friends trampoline this year. She also flips on a tree we have in our backyard. Here is a video of her doing that trick. When she needs to get somewhere in our house she somersaults, it is her preferred mode of transportation. Phil said that he remembers doing the same thing as a kid, she must take after him.

Mommy and Lizzy's very, very small vegetable garden

Well, we love having a backyard. I have always wanted to plant a garden but have no idea how to do any gardening, in fact I usually have a hard time keeping house plants alive. So, we thought we would plant a few things in s small planter, then we branched out and made what Liz and I call our very, very small vegetable garden. We planted carrots, zucchini, peas, and green beans. I've been told that I planted too many close together and that I planted them too late. That's all part of the learning experience. Next year we will go a little bigger and hopefully better too. I will make sure to post if we actually get anything out of our garden.

Fairy House

My friend Becca told me about this idea...

I gave Liz an empty milk jug, paint and other fun craft stuff and she went to town decorating and designing a house for fairies. It is equipped with a door and a silky bed for them to rest on. They don't visit every day but every so often if Lizzy puts something in there for them they will leave something for her. Her favorite time was when they snuck in my closet and took a Disney fairy figurine I was saving for a later time out and gave it to her. She thought that was funny. They also told her that if she made them cookies they would bring her another one. So, we made lemon bon-bon cookies, they were yummy and I think the fairies liked them too!

Laundry basket fun!

Here are a few photos of Samuel in our laundry basket. We thought it would be fun to push him around in it. He thought it was fun too!
