I'm obsessed...

Seriously. With Etsy. I spend my spare time being completely non-productive and adding items to my favorites on Etsy. Here are a few of my favorite things:

tile coasters

chiffon shoe clips. seriously, who come up with these ideas? Awesome!

A PHOTOGRAPH of a cactus - no one is selling the actual cactus ;)

bunny wall decals

banana salt and pepper shakers

It's a SWEET book blog

Hello everyone.

My sister Mary runs a book blog. For those of you that go there, you know it's AWESOME!

She does giveaways, author interviews, book reviews (of course) and much more.

Right now she's doing a prize pack giveaway of 3 GREAT books.

If she gets 200 followers by this Sunday she's going to give away 2 prize packs!

Last I checked she was at 186 followers. Add yourself, please. You will be happy, and what's better than free books?

Check out The Sweet Bookshelf at:

She's 7!!!

Happy birthday Lizzy!

The boy who lived...

With Hedwig and a Gyiffindor scarf in tow we went looking for a Harry Potter letterbox.

We started off at Professor Sprouts herbology class, trekked over the Quidditch field, and hiked through the forbidden forest. We had a BLAST!

Interested? Want to know what it is?

Okay, here's the deal, someone carves a cool stamp, then they hide it. Then they write out clues to where to find the stamp (ours is available on a website.) Then you take the fam and head out on a treasure hunt, or rather, a stamp hunt. Once you find the stamp you get to stamp the pad that's hiding with the stamp, proof that you were there. Then you stamp your own pad, and viola, you're done. It is much more fun then I am making it sound. Look it up, really, a blast, and free! We have decided to make a fairy one that we will be starting on soon, hidden, I'm sure, in some enchanted Oregon forest.

Thanks to Kim and Stephenie for sharing this on your blogs!

A mile to start my year on

I ran in my first race of the year today. It was only 1 mile. I ran slower than a snails pace (9 minute mile.) BUT, not bad for less than 2 months after having a baby, AND I won first place in my age group (there were only 2 of us.) So, it doesn't count for much but it's a start.

Happy New Year!
